Train

The train station Almere Poort is next to the festival area.

Unfortunately there are no direct trains available from Schiphol Airport to Almere Poort during EJC. It is possible to come by train but you than have to change trains at Amsterdam Central Station.

For travelling with the public transport you need an OV chipcard. If you don’t travel a lot with public transport in the Netherlands it’s best to by a one time OV chipcard at the ticket machine. The costs are your trip + €1,00. If you’re are travelling back on the same day it’s best to buy a return ticket. With your OV chipcard you need to check-in and check-out when walking through the gates of the station. Not paying for your ticket can get you a fine by €35,00 + your travel price. So don’t forget to check-in! Planning your travel with public transport in The Netherlands can easily be found at www.9292ov.nl

Boat

This year you can also reach the EJC by boat! It is easy to get to Almere via the IJsselmeer and Markermeer lakes. The closest marina to the festival site is the Marina Muiderzand. The tourist information website offers more information on marinas.

Cycling

The most typical mode of transport in the Netherlands is the bicycle. People cycle everywhere, there are special cycling lanes, traffic lights for cyclists, and cycling routes. An actual cycling highway runs right through the festival site! There is an unsupervised bicycle shed near the site. There are plenty of bike rental services in Almere, for instance at the tourist information, train station or at a bicycle shop. For the most beautiful cycling routes in the surroundings, have a look at: www.visitflevoland.nl
