CONVENTION

The EJC (European Juggling Convention) is the biggest juggling event in Europe. Professional jugglers, street performers and amateur jugglers from all over the world travel to this festival to juggle, exchange tricks and have fun together. The convention takes place in a different place in Europe each year. From 30th July till 7th August 2016 EJC was hosted in the Netherland’s in Almere.

About EJC

EJC 2016 was hosted at a great venue in Almere from 30th July till 7th August 2016. With three large sports halls (4892 m²) and a swimming pool, surrounded by a spacious site that includes a campsite and a festival village. The site is conveniently located next to the train station Almere Poort, at approximately half an hour train ride from Amsterdam and Schiphol airport (Airport of Amsterdam). To top it all off, there is a lake with a beach within walking distance of the festival site!

Who is the convention for?
For everyone! The programme includes activities for jugglers and circus enthusiasts of all ages and all levels. There are beginner workshops as well as special master classes at an advanced level. The programme is filled with world-class shows and performances. There will be a special slackline area, a gym for acrobatics and aerial, a fire spot and of course a lot of space to juggle! Even for non-jugglers there is plenty to do, and by the end of the convention they may have become jugglers too!

Who is organising the EJC 2016?
The EJC was organised by an enthusiastic team of Dutch jugglers who had founded the European Juggling Convention 2016 Foundation. They really enjoyed welcoming you and thousands of other jugglers to Almere this summer, together we made it into an amazing festival!
